AI Query Opportunity Discovery scans real questions users ask AI platforms (Google AI Overview, ChatGPT) and identifies gaps where:
Why it matters: When AI doesn't have authoritative sources, creating comprehensive content gives you a chance to become the cited source for that query.
Or go directly to: /ai-visibility/opportunities/
Each opportunity shows:
The actual question users are asking AI platforms (e.g., "best sustainable swimwear brands 2025").
How valuable this opportunity is:
Calculated from:
Estimated monthly searches for this query across AI platforms.
What's missing from current AI answers. Example: "Current answers lack specific product recommendations for eco-conscious consumers."
Suggested content approach. Example: "Create comparison guide with sustainability metrics for top 10 brands."
Which AI platforms gave weak or no answers:
More platforms with gaps = bigger opportunity.
Opportunities you haven't acted on yet.
Opportunities where you've already created a content brief.
Opportunities you've marked as not relevant.
Every opportunity discovered.
The custom brief workflow will derive an appropriate target keyword from the query.
Why custom brief? These are questions/topics, not exact-match keywords. Custom briefs handle broader topics better than keyword briefs.
If an opportunity isn't relevant:
The AI query opportunity scan runs automatically every Tuesday at 7:00 AM UTC.
What the automated scan does:
After the scan completes:
No action required: The scan runs automatically in the background. Just check your Query Opportunities dashboard after Tuesday mornings to see new discoveries.
The weekly automated scan runs every Tuesday at 7:00 AM UTC.
The scan:
If you have no brand keywords configured, the scan won't find opportunities. Go to Settings → General and add brand keywords first.
To discover opportunities immediately (without waiting for weekly scan):
Manual scans use the same logic as weekly scans.
If no opportunities appear:
Check if brand keywords are configured:
Why brand keywords matter: The discovery system uses these as seed keywords to find related user queries.
Still no results? Your keywords may already have complete AI answers. Try:
The system can't discover opportunities without seed keywords. Add 5-10 relevant brand/product/category keywords in Settings.
New opportunities appear every Monday. Check for high-scoring queries (70+) to prioritize.
Focus on opportunities with:
Keep your list clean by dismissing queries that don't fit your brand. You can always un-dismiss later.
After publishing content from an opportunity:
/ai-visibility/): Track when your content gets cited/briefs/): Create content from opportunities/settings/): Configure seed keywords for discovery"No opportunities found" → Add brand keywords in Settings → General, then run manual scan
"Scan failed" → Temporary service issue. Try again in a few minutes.
"You've already created a brief for this query" → Check the "Brief Created" tab to see existing brief
Manual scan button is disabled → You've scanned within the last hour. Wait for rate limit to reset.
Opportunity score seems wrong → Scores are calculated from API data (volume + citation count). Low scores may indicate complete AI answers already exist.
How is this different from keyword research? Traditional keyword research finds what people search for. This finds what people ask AI — which is increasingly where traffic goes.
Why do some queries have no cross-platform gaps? Those queries already have complete answers across all platforms. Lower-priority opportunities, but still worth considering if volume is high.
Can I add custom queries manually? Not directly. The system discovers queries from your brand keywords. To influence results, adjust your brand keywords in Settings.
How often do opportunities expire? Opportunities are marked expired after 14 days if not acted on. They remain visible but flagged as stale.
What happens after I create a brief? The brief goes through standard analysis (3-5 min), then you can generate content. The opportunity status changes to "Brief Created" automatically.
Your brand exists in two places now: traditional search engines and AI chatbots. When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity for recommendations, is your brand mentioned? The AI Visibility page shows you — and helps you create content that gets cited.
Get notified immediately when AI platforms cite your content.
What it does: Automated email summarizing your AI visibility performance across all platforms.
AI chatbots answer millions of questions daily. When they can't find authoritative sources, they give weak answers. These gaps are your opportunity.
