What is Strategy Hub?

Strategy Hub is where all your content opportunities come together. Instead of checking multiple dashboards for trends, keyword gaps, content decay, and competitive intelligence, Strategy Hub aggregates everything into a single prioritized inbox.

Every opportunity is scored by AI based on:

  • Search volume and difficulty — Is this worth pursuing?
  • Competitive landscape — Can you realistically rank?
  • Brand relevance — Does this fit your content strategy?
  • Timeliness — Is there urgency (trending topic, seasonal event)?

The more you use Strategy Hub, the smarter it gets. ILLIXIS learns from your accept/reject decisions and personalizes future recommendations to match your preferences.

Getting Started

Accessing Strategy Hub

  1. Log in to your ILLIXIS account
  2. Navigate to Intelligence → Strategy Hub in the left sidebar
  3. You'll see your prioritized opportunity inbox

Understanding the Dashboard

The Strategy Hub dashboard has four key areas:

1. Status Cards (Top)

  • Pending Review — New opportunities awaiting your decision
  • Total Accepted — Opportunities you've approved (briefs created)
  • Total Rejected — Opportunities you've passed on
  • Source Types — How many discovery engines found opportunities

2. Source Filter Bar Filter opportunities by where they came from:

  • Content Arbitrage
  • Trend Intelligence
  • Search Console
  • Competitor Gap
  • Content Decay
  • Offer Calendar
  • Keyword Discovery
  • Paid → Organic
  • Pillar Content
  • Rising Searches
  • AI Opportunities
  • Content Gaps

3. Opportunity Cards Each card shows:

  • Title — The recommended topic or keyword
  • Source badge — Which engine discovered it
  • Priority score — AI-calculated importance (0-100)
  • Search volume — Monthly search demand
  • Search intent — Informational, commercial, transactional, or navigational
  • Funnel stage — Awareness, consideration, or decision
  • Description — Why this opportunity matters

4. Action Buttons For each opportunity:

  • Approve — Create a content brief immediately
  • Snooze — Hide for 7 days (revisit later)
  • Reject — Remove with a reason (helps AI learn)

How It Works

Opportunity Discovery

ILLIXIS runs 12 automated discovery engines that continuously find content opportunities:

| Source | What It Finds | When It Runs |
|--------|---------------|--------------|
| Content Arbitrage | "Easy win" keywords with weak competition | Weekly |
| Trend Intelligence | Emerging topics via deep research | Weekly |
| Search Console | Keywords where you're ranking 8-20 (quick wins) | Daily |
| Competitor Gap | Topics competitors rank for but you don't | Weekly |
| Content Decay | Your content losing rankings/traffic | Weekly |
| Offer Calendar | Upcoming holidays and seasonal events | Monthly |
| Keyword Discovery | Related keywords from your seed terms | On-demand |
| Paid → Organic | High-spend ad keywords to target organically | Weekly |
| Pillar Content | Authority-building, link-earning topics | Monthly |
| Rising Searches | Google Trends breakout queries | Weekly |
| AI Opportunities | Topics where AI chatbots could cite you | Weekly |
| Content Gaps | Orphan entities missing from your topic maps | Monthly |

Priority Scoring

Every opportunity gets a 0-100 priority score based on:

  • Volume score (30%) — Search demand
  • Difficulty score (25%) — How hard to rank (inverted — easier = higher)
  • CPC score (25%) — Commercial value
  • SERP weakness (20%) — Quality of current top results

Scores are classified as:

  • 80+ — Exceptional opportunity (act immediately)
  • 60-79 — Strong opportunity (high priority)
  • 40-59 — Good opportunity (worth considering)
  • Below 40 — Lower priority (snooze or reject)

Preference Learning

ILLIXIS learns from your decisions:

  • Approve → More similar opportunities in the future
  • Reject → Fewer similar opportunities
  • Snooze → Neutral signal (revisit in 7 days)

After ~20 decisions, you'll see a "Learning Your Preferences" progress bar. Once the AI model is trained, opportunities are re-ranked based on your historical patterns.

Workflow: From Opportunity to Published Content

Step 1: Review Opportunities

Open Strategy Hub and scan the pending opportunities. Use filters to focus on specific sources (e.g., only Content Decay alerts).

Step 2: Approve or Reject

For each opportunity:

  • Approve if you want to create content for this topic
  • Reject if it's not relevant (select a reason to help AI learn)
  • Snooze if you want to revisit later

Step 3: Brief Generation

When you approve, ILLIXIS immediately starts generating a content brief:

  1. Progress bar shows real-time status
  2. Brief completes in 2-4 minutes
  3. "View Brief" button appears when ready

Step 4: Generate Content

From the approved opportunity card:

  1. Click Generate Content (or go to the brief and click Generate)
  2. Content generates in 3-5 minutes
  3. Find your new article in Content Hub

Step 5: Review, Edit, Publish

  1. Review the generated content in Content Hub
  2. Make any edits needed
  3. Publish to your CMS (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, etc.)

Bulk Actions

Bulk Approve

  1. Check the boxes next to multiple opportunities
  2. Click Approve Selected (X) in the header
  3. All selected opportunities start brief generation simultaneously

This is useful for processing your weekly backlog quickly.

Duplicate Detection

Strategy Hub automatically detects:

Existing Content Matches

If an opportunity matches content you've already published, you'll see an "Existing Content" warning badge with:

  • The matching article title
  • Similarity percentage

Topic Fatigue

If you've covered a topic extensively, you'll see a "Topic Fatigue" badge. This prevents over-saturating any single topic cluster.

Best Practices

Daily Habit (5 minutes)

  • Check Strategy Hub each morning
  • Review 3-5 top opportunities
  • Approve 1-2 for content creation

Weekly Review (15 minutes)

  • Filter by each source to see what's being discovered
  • Reject stale opportunities to keep inbox clean
  • Check "Accepted" tab to verify briefs completed

Rejection Reasons

When rejecting, always select a reason:

  • Not relevant to our brand — Teaches AI your niche
  • Already covered this topic — Prevents duplicates
  • Too competitive — Calibrates difficulty preferences
  • Low quality opportunity — Improves scoring

Use Snooze Strategically

Snooze is for "not now, but maybe later":

  • Seasonal content (snooze until closer to date)
  • Topics that need more research
  • Ideas you want to discuss with your team

FAQ

How often should I check Strategy Hub?

Daily for 5 minutes is ideal. New opportunities appear throughout the week as discovery engines run.

Why am I seeing the same keyword from multiple sources?

Strategy Hub deduplicates by keyword, keeping only the highest-priority version. If you see duplicates, they have slightly different keywords (e.g., "best running shoes" vs "best running shoes 2026").

Can I create briefs without using Strategy Hub?

Yes. You can create briefs directly from the Briefs page using keyword, trend, custom, calendar, or link magnet brief types. Strategy Hub is just the recommendation engine.

What happens to rejected opportunities?

They move to the "Rejected" tab. The AI uses your rejection patterns to improve future recommendations. Rejected opportunities don't reappear unless manually restored.

How long until the AI learns my preferences?

About 20 accept/reject decisions. You'll see a progress indicator showing how close you are to personalized recommendations.
