Most marketing platforms require a website to get started. ILLIXIS doesn't. When you select the no-website path during onboarding, Maya analyzes your business description and audience to generate a full brand profile — including voice, keywords, competitors, content strategy, and even a logo.
The result is the same as if you'd connected a website. You get a complete set of brand settings that power everything in the platform: briefs, articles, social posts, email sequences, and ads.
This is the same first step as the standard onboarding flow. Type your brand or business name and click Continue.
On the website URL step, you'll see a link below the URL field that says "I don't have a website yet." Click it to switch to the no-website flow.
Tell us what your business does in 2-3 sentences. Be specific about what you offer, who you serve, and what makes you different.
Good example: "We help families find senior care options through educational content and a matching service that connects them with vetted local providers."
Too vague: "We're a healthcare company."
The more detail you provide, the better Maya can calibrate your brand profile, keyword strategy, and content recommendations.
Who are you trying to reach? Think about demographics, pain points, and what they're searching for.
Good example: "Adult children ages 35-60 who are researching care options for aging parents. They're overwhelmed by choices, worried about costs, and searching for trustworthy information."
Too vague: "Anyone interested in healthcare."
Maya analyzes your answers and generates your complete brand profile. This takes about 1-2 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator while the analysis runs.

Click the logo you like best to select it. If none of them feel right, click "Skip for now" — you can upload your own logo anytime from Brand Settings.
Check the AI-generated brand voice, keywords, competitors, and content strategy. Every field is editable. If something doesn't feel right, change it before continuing.

Share it with your designer, web developer, or anyone who creates content for your brand. It ensures everyone stays on-brand even if they don't have access to ILLIXIS.
Be specific in your business description. "We help families find senior care options through educational content" works much better than "We're a healthcare company." Specificity gives Maya the context she needs to generate accurate keywords, competitors, and content strategy.
Describe real customers, not demographics. "Adult children worried about aging parents" is more useful than "Adults 35-60." The more you describe their problems and search behavior, the better your content recommendations will be.
Review everything before saving. The AI does a good job, but you know your business best. Spend a few minutes on the review step to catch anything that needs adjusting.
You can always refine later. If your brand evolves or you realize a keyword strategy isn't working, update your settings anytime from Brand Settings. Changes propagate to all future content.
Q: What if I get a website later? A: Add your URL in Brand Settings and ILLIXIS will analyze it to refine your profile. Your existing brand settings won't be overwritten — the site analysis supplements what's already there.
Q: Can I change the AI-generated settings? A: Yes. Everything is editable. The review step during onboarding lets you change any field before saving, and you can always update from Brand Settings afterward.
Q: What happens to my logo if I upload my own? A: Your uploaded logo replaces the AI-generated one. The old one isn't stored.
Q: Is the no-website path available on all plans? A: Yes. The no-website onboarding flow and AI logo generation are available on every plan, including the free trial.
Q: Can I re-run onboarding if I want to start fresh? A: Yes. Go to Brand Settings and click "Re-run Onboarding." This resets your discovery and intelligence data but preserves any content, creatives, and landing pages you've already created.
