What Makes This Different

Traditional analytics tools show you what happened. ILLIXIS Analytics tells you what it means and what to do about it. Every section synthesizes data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, email performance, social metrics, and AI visibility tracking to deliver actionable verdicts, not just numbers.

Finding Analytics

Navigate to Analytics in the left sidebar. You'll land on the Pulse tab by default.

The Five Tabs

Pulse: "What happened this week?"

Purpose: High-level snapshot of your marketing performance with a composite strategy score.

What You'll See:

  • Hero stats — Organic traffic (with month-over-month change), ranking keywords, top 10 positions, and strategy score
  • Traffic growth chart — Visual 6-month trend showing momentum
  • AI narrative — ILLIXIS-generated summary of what's driving your performance
  • This Week feed — Top 3 events (rank changes, decay alerts, AI milestones)
  • Priority action — The single most important thing to do right now

Strategy Score Breakdown: Your composite score (0-100) is calculated from:

  • Prediction Accuracy — Are ILLIXIS predictions proving correct?
  • Content Velocity — How fast your content reaches page 1
  • Share of Voice — Your visibility vs competitors
  • AI Visibility — Brand mentions across AI platforms

Use this tab for your daily check-in. The priority action tells you exactly where to focus.

Content: "What's working, what's not?"

Purpose: Insight-driven content performance analysis with categorized actions.

What You'll See:

  • Narrative verdict — Synthesized assessment of your content engine
  • Mini stats — Clicks, impressions, CTR, page 1 hit rate
  • Velocity by content type — Which brief types rank fastest
  • Fastest performers — Your top 3 content pieces by time-to-rank
  • Priority actions — Categorized list of what to do next:
  • Refresh — Content losing traffic (with decay reason)
  • Push — Content on page 2 that could hit page 1 with a boost
  • Title — High-impression, low-CTR pages (title optimization opportunity)

How to Use It: Start with priority actions. The list is ranked by estimated impact. If you see a "Refresh" action with a decay reason, that's your immediate priority — content actively losing traffic compounds losses quickly.

Check velocity stats to understand which content types work best for your site. If "Keyword Briefs" rank in 18 days but "Trend Briefs" take 45 days, you know where to invest effort.

Compete: "Am I winning?"

Purpose: Competitive position analysis with velocity and AI visibility context.

What You'll See:

  • Narrative verdict — Where you stand vs competitors and trajectory
  • Share of Voice (SOV) — Your visibility percentage across tracked keywords with trend direction
  • SOV by competitor — Breakdown showing who owns what percentage
  • Keywords winning — Topics where you dominate
  • Keywords to target — Topics where competitors beat you (attack opportunities)
  • Velocity edge — How much faster (or slower) your content ranks vs industry average
  • AI opportunities — Queries where AI platforms could cite you but don't yet

Key Insight: The narrative synthesizes position + direction. "Strong position but losing ground" means different actions than "Starting to break through." Direction matters more than static rank.

Use "Keywords to target" to find your next competitive plays. These are topics where competitors prove there's traffic but you have no content yet.

Forecast: "Can I trust predictions?"

Purpose: Prediction accuracy tracking and confidence calibration.

What You'll See:

  • Overall accuracy — Percentage of predictions proven correct
  • Win/loss record — Correct predictions, misses, and close calls
  • Narrative verdict — Trust-building assessment
  • Confidence calibration — Chart showing predicted confidence vs actual accuracy
  • Prediction feed — Mix of upcoming validations and recent results

How Predictions Work: Every time ILLIXIS creates a keyword brief, it predicts the position you'll reach. After 30/60/90 days, the system compares predicted vs actual position:

  • Win — Within 3 positions
  • Close — Within 5 positions
  • Miss — More than 5 positions off

Over time, the model learns your site's authority and velocity patterns, making predictions increasingly accurate.

Confidence Calibration: This chart answers "when ILLIXIS says 80% confident, is it actually right 80% of the time?" Well-calibrated predictions track the diagonal line. If the system is overconfident, you'll see predictions above the line.

Use this tab to decide how much to trust Maya's recommendations. If accuracy is 75%+, trust her prioritization. If it's still below 50%, you're in the learning phase — keep publishing to train the model.

AI: "How visible is your brand in AI?"

Purpose: Track brand mentions across AI search platforms.

What You'll See:

  • Platform breakdown — Mentions across Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini
  • Monthly trend — 6-month sparkline chart showing visibility trajectory
  • Monthly change — This month vs last month mention count
  • Competitor comparison — Your mentions vs tracked competitors
  • Recent scans — Latest queries where you appeared

Why This Matters: AI platforms (ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Perplexity) are becoming search engines. If your brand never appears in their responses, you're invisible to an entire generation of users who skip traditional search.

ILLIXIS is the only content platform tracking this metric.

How Scans Work: The system runs hybrid scans (database + live API) every 24-72 hours depending on your auto-refresh settings. Scans check brand mentions across your configured query list.

Setup Required: If you see "Setup Required," configure:

  1. Your brand name
  2. Your domain
  3. Query list (topics to monitor)

Scans start running automatically after setup completes.

Daily Workflow

Morning Check (5 minutes):

  1. Open Pulse tab
  2. Check priority action — do it if critical
  3. Scan "This Week" feed for major changes

Weekly Review (15 minutes):

  1. Content tab → Work through priority actions (top 3)
  2. Compete tab → Check SOV trend and velocity edge
  3. Forecast tab → Note accuracy score (watch it improve over time)
  4. AI tab → Check if monthly mentions are growing

Understanding the AI Narrative (Pulse Tab)

The AI narrative is an ILLIXIS-generated insight that synthesizes:

  • Traffic trends
  • Ranking changes
  • Velocity patterns
  • Decay alerts
  • Competitive position

It refreshes every 6 hours. If you want a fresh perspective, click the refresh button (note: this counts toward your AI usage quota).

Example narrative:

"Your content engine is accelerating. Clicks up 23% this month. Keyword content ranks in 18 days. 42% of content hits page 1. Velocity is improving."

This tells you: momentum is positive, keep publishing, keyword briefs are your fastest performers, and your win rate is strong.

Data Freshness

| Data Source | Sync Frequency | How to Force Refresh |
|-------------|----------------|---------------------|
| Google Search Console | Daily at 3 AM | Intelligence → Sync GSC Data |
| Google Analytics 4 | Daily at 6 AM | Intelligence → Sync GA4 Data |
| Rank tracking | Daily at 4 AM | Automatic |
| AI visibility | Every 24-72 hours | AI tab → Refresh Scan |
| Social metrics | Real-time | (via social publishing integration) |
| Email metrics | Real-time | (via Klaviyo API) |

If you see stale data, check the last sync timestamp on the Intelligence page.

Automation Schedule

Cross-channel metrics aggregate automatically each day to provide a unified view of your marketing performance.

Daily Aggregation Timeline (UTC):

| Time | Process |
|------|---------|
| 5:00 AM | Google Search Console sync |
| 6:00 AM | Google Analytics 4 sync |
| 7:30 AM | Email platform sync (Klaviyo, Mailchimp) |
| 8:00 AM | Cross-channel metrics aggregation |

The 8:00 AM aggregation combines data from all individual platform syncs into the unified dashboard views. This means the Analytics dashboard reflects data from the previous day — if you check at 9:00 AM UTC, you're seeing yesterday's complete picture.

Manual Refresh: If you need real-time data before the scheduled sync, use the manual refresh options:

  • Intelligence → Sync GSC Data — Force Google Search Console update
  • Intelligence → Sync GA4 Data — Force Google Analytics 4 update
  • AI tab → Refresh Scan — Force AI visibility scan

Manual refreshes update individual data sources immediately but don't trigger the full cross-channel aggregation. For the most accurate unified metrics, check after 8:00 AM UTC when all sources have been combined.

Export Options

CSV Export: Currently not available directly from Analytics dashboard. Export options exist on individual feature pages:

  • Rank Tracker → Export rankings
  • Content Inventory → Export content list
  • Email Performance → Export campaign stats

Mobile Experience

The analytics dashboard is responsive but best viewed on desktop due to chart density. On mobile:

  • Tabs become a horizontal scrollable menu
  • Charts stack vertically
  • Priority actions collapse into an accordion

FAQ

Why is my strategy score 0?

You need at least 14 days of data and 5+ published content pieces for the score to populate. The system needs baseline metrics to calculate velocity and accuracy.

The AI narrative says the same thing every time

Click the refresh button to regenerate. The narrative refreshes every 6 hours. Fresh data = fresh narrative.

What's the difference between Pulse and Content tabs?

Pulse is your daily check-in (overall health + priority action). Content is your work queue (specific pages needing attention).

How often should I check analytics?

Daily for Pulse (5 minutes). Weekly for Content (15 minutes to work through actions). Monthly for Compete and Forecast (strategic review).

Can I customize what appears on these tabs?

Not yet. The tabs are designed to answer universal strategic questions. Future releases may add custom widgets.

Why am I not seeing any competitor data in Compete tab?

You need to configure competitor tracking. Go to Intelligence → Competitive Intelligence and add competitor domains.

How is "industry average" for velocity calculated?

52 days is the industry benchmark (based on Ahrefs research). Your velocity is compared against this standard. If you're faster, you have a competitive advantage.
