What Decision Digests Are

Decision Digests are automated weekly emails that summarize the AI-driven decisions ILLIXIS made for your marketing program. Each digest provides transparency into what was decided, why, and how past predictions performed.

Key difference from other notifications:

• Daily alerts: Real-time notifications for specific events (new citation, task completion)
• Decision Digest: Weekly strategic summary with context, trends, and accuracy tracking

Who Receives Decision Digests

Eligibility: Professional and Enterprise tier subscribers with active or trialing subscriptions.

Recipients: The tenant owner receives the digest. If no owner email is configured, the first admin user receives it.

Starter tier: Does not receive Decision Digests. Upgrade to Professional to enable this feature.

What's Included in Each Digest

1. Decisions Made This Week

• Total count of strategic decisions
• Breakdown by decision type (brief selection, creative strategy, word count, performance prediction)
• Top 5 highest-confidence decisions with summaries
• Links to related briefs or content

2. Prediction Accuracy Updates

• Number of predictions evaluated this week
• Overall accuracy percentage (weighted: accurate = 100%, partial = 50%, inaccurate = 0%)
• Breakdown: accurate, partially accurate, inaccurate counts
• Pending predictions still awaiting evaluation

3. Top Performing Content

• Content pieces with highest pageviews during the digest period
• Links to view each piece
• Pageview counts from GA4 data (when connected)

4. Decision Journal Link

• Direct link to your Decision Journal dashboard
• View full details, drill-downs, and historical decisions

Automation Schedule

Conditions for sending:

• Tenant has Professional or Enterprise tier
• Subscription is active or trialing
• At least one decision was made in the past week

The Monday schedule provides a week-in-review as you start your new week, giving you context on what ILLIXIS accomplished while you focused on other priorities.

Configure Digest Preferences

Enable or Disable Decision Digests

1. Go to Settings in the main navigation
2. Select Plan & Features
3. Locate Weekly Decision Digest toggle
4. Toggle on/off to enable/disable

Note: This setting controls whether you receive the email. The Decision Journal dashboard remains accessible regardless of this setting.

Check Your Tier Access

1. Go to Settings > Plan & Features
2. Under Feature Access, look for "Weekly Decision Digest"
3. If marked "Included," you have access
4. If marked "Upgrade Required," you need Professional or Enterprise tier

Acting on Items from the Email

Each Decision Digest email includes actionable links:

View Decision Details

Click any decision summary to open the Decision Journal with that decision highlighted. Review the full rationale, data sources, and related content.

Check Prediction Accuracy

Click the accuracy stats section to open the Decision Journal filtered to evaluated predictions. See which predictions hit the mark and which missed.

View Top Content

Click any top-performing content title to open that piece in Content Hub. Review what's working and consider creating similar content.

Open Decision Journal

Click the main CTA button to access the full Decision Journal dashboard with all decisions, predictions, and accuracy metrics.

Opt Out of Decision Digests

Disable Digests Only

1. Go to Settings > Plan & Features
2. Toggle off Weekly Decision Digest
3. You'll stop receiving emails but retain access to the Decision Journal dashboard

Alternative: Downgrade Tier

If you downgrade from Professional to Starter tier, Decision Digests automatically stop. You'll also lose drill-down access in the Decision Journal.

Takes effect: Next scheduled digest (following Monday). In-flight emails cannot be stopped.

Decision Digest vs Other Email Notifications

Key distinctions:

• Decision Digest focuses on what ILLIXIS decided and whether those decisions worked
• AI Visibility Digest focuses on how visible you are across AI platforms
• Citation Alerts are immediate; digests are weekly summaries

Troubleshooting

"I didn't receive my digest"

Check these first:

1. Tier: Confirm you're on Professional or Enterprise (Settings > Plan & Features)
2. Subscription status: Must be active or trialing
3. Email deliverability: Check spam/junk folder for "ILLIXIS Weekly Decision Journal"
4. Zero decisions: If no decisions were made that week, no digest is sent

"The accuracy percentage seems wrong"

How accuracy is calculated:

• Accurate (within 20% of prediction): 100% weight
• Partially accurate (within 40%): 50% weight
• Inaccurate (>40% off): 0% weight
• Formula: ((accurate count x 100) + (partial count x 50)) / total evaluated

"Links in the email don't work"

Ensure you're logged into ILLIXIS in the same browser. Decision Journal links require authentication. If links expire or fail, go directly to app.illixis.io and navigate to Intelligence > Decision Journal.

"I want digests more frequently"

Currently, Decision Digests are fixed at weekly (Monday). For real-time updates, use the Decision Journal dashboard directly or enable daily citation alerts for AI visibility.
