Troubleshooting

Logo not displaying

  • Verify URL is publicly accessible (paste in browser)
  • Check URL uses HTTPS (not HTTP)
  • Confirm image size is reasonable (<500KB)
  • Check browser console for CORS errors
  • Try different image host if issues persist

Colors not applying

  • Ensure hex codes start with # and are 6 characters
  • Use uppercase or lowercase A-F (both work)
  • Don't use 3-character shorthand (#FFF → #FFFFFF)
  • Save settings after making changes

Changes not appearing

  • Hard refresh browser: Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows)
  • Clear browser cache
  • Check "Enable White-Labeling" is toggled on
  • Verify changes were saved (success message should appear)

Emails still show ILLIXIS branding

  • Check Sender Name is filled out (not blank)
  • Verify Reply-To email is valid format
  • Check email client isn't caching old sender info
  • Some transactional emails have minimum branding requirements

PDF reports not using custom colors

  • Reports use branding from when report was generated
  • Regenerate report to see new branding
  • Check primary color is valid hex code
  • Older reports retain their original branding

Best Practices

Logo Design

  • Use transparent backgrounds (not white rectangles)
  • Optimize file size (aim for <100KB)
  • Test logo on both light and dark backgrounds
  • Provide dark logo variant if your main logo is dark-colored

Color Selection

  • Choose colors with good contrast against white backgrounds
  • Test readability of links and buttons
  • Avoid pure black (#000000) for primary colors
  • Consider accessibility (WCAG AA contrast ratios)

Email Branding

  • Use your domain for reply-to email (not Gmail/Yahoo)
  • Monitor reply-to inbox regularly
  • Keep sender name consistent across campaigns
  • Test emails in multiple clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail)

Testing Changes

  • Use live preview before saving
  • Test on desktop and mobile after saving
  • Generate test PDF report to verify report branding
  • Send test email to verify email branding
